Things people don't tell you before you start running a business:
1. Everything is your fault - at the end of the day no matter what happens it is always the fault of the boss!
2. No one else understands what its like - unless you have friends who are actually running a business themselves, don't expect anyone to truly understand what it's like, as I am currently 24
years old, it is safe to say absolutely none of my friends have any idea what it's like.
3. Its the things you don't even think about that take the most amount of time - tax returns, accounting, billing and accounts are the areas which take days upon days of your time - selling is all and good, but unless you have some way of getting the money back off the customer it's a waste of time.
4. HR and recruitment is the WORST..I can't even!
5. You will never ever manage accomplish everything in a day that you planned to!
